The Knowledge is an Information Management system designed to manage large volumes of data, for multiple and varied applications.  It is infinitely tailorable and can be applied to meet a number of business needs, including:

• Sales and Marketing Information Management and Retrieval
• Personnel Systems
• Asset Management and Control
• Document Management
• Healthcare Applications

The Knowledge can be used ‘straight out of the box’ and is fully integrated with other Ylem products such as the Genesys Hire software and Mobius Enterprise Resource Planning.

To make the most of The Knowledge, however, it has been designed to allow user to specify their exact requirements, both in terms of data management and ‘look and feel’, without the need to redesign the core functionality and the data integration processes

The concept behind ‘The Knowledge’ is based around four types of records and the creation and maintenance of links between records;

People – Organisations – Places - Items

Multiple links can be created, i.e. a Person can be linked to more than one Organisation, multiple Places can be linked to Organisations or vice versa, multiple Items can be linked to People, Organisations or Places.
