Ylem Ltd is committed to the principles of Transparency, Capability and Accountability which are embodied in the Cloud Industry Forum’s Code of Practice, because these help create a more trustworthy business environment for cloud-based processing.


Ylem Ltd is committed to complying with the specific requirements of the Cloud Industry Forum’s Code of Practice for the period of Certification, for the scope defined below in A.1.3.

Ylem Ltd has completed the Self-Certification against the ‘Code of Practice for Cloud Service Providers’ (the ‘Code’) of the Cloud Industry Forum (‘CIF’, at www.cloudindustryforum.org), which the Self-Certification mark demonstrates. A.1.5. Third Party Coverage Transparency


Ylem will accept some indirect responsibility for its suppliers. For example it will provide first line support for all third party products supplied by Ylem. In the case of a hardware supplier, Ylem is able replace hardware with an equivalent product from one of its other hardware partners. For Unify / Accell, the database product, Ylem will be able to provde on-going support in order that customers can continue to run their systems. A specific statement on indirect responsibility for all third products supplied to a customer is available as part of the pre-sales documentation.


Ylem Ltd provides a "one stop" support service for all products and services supplied to a customer through its automated Help Desk. In general the third party suppliers do not offer reciprocal terms and protections, although Ylem is happy to address a customers' specific requirements in this area. The exception to this is hardware support, where on-site diagnosis and repair of hardware faults are covered by a support contract taken out directly with the hardware supplier, although Ylem provides a first line of support via its own Help Desk.


Ylem Ltd does not take indirect responsibility for the customers of customers.
