Training Advice Document Genesys Version : 4 Program Number : spc0164 Description : Cash Till Reconciliation __________________________________________________________________ Summary A brief description of how to carry out Cash Till Reconciliation procedure. __________________________________________________________________ Details · Go into screen spc0161b and enter your name and press RETURN · The division field should always be 1 if it is not already set. Press RETURN · Press F2. · The entries are as follows:- 1. Opening balance – is the amount you counted for the last till reconciliation 2. Net Cash Movement – is the total amount of cash taken or given since the last till reconciliation 3. Total Banked Cash – is the amount that has been banked, and that we have told the system we have banked 4. Closing Balance – is the amount of cash you should now have in your till, which is the sum of all the figures above 5. Cash Counted – is the amount that you should enter, and should be the same amount as the closing balance. If it is not, then there must be a discrepancy between the cash you have counted and the amounts you have logged in Genesys · Enter the amount you have counted and press RETURN. · If there is a difference, say NO to post the difference, press return into the action box. Then hit F9 and choose Print and Delete. Print the report and you can then use this to find out where the discrepancy is. Fix the discrepancy and start again from the beginning of this sheet. · If there is no difference, zoom (F9) on the action box and choose Print and Post. Print the report to printercounter1 or counter2 and it will post the reconciliation automatically. · Please note that a difference may be caused because the cash you gave to be banked has not yet been banked on Genesys |
