Training Advice Document Genesys Version : 4 Program Number : pop1975 pop1955 Description : Automatic ordering __________________________________________________________________ Summary This is a brief summary on how to access the automatic ordering system within the Genesys Hire System. __________________________________________________________________ Details 1. Set Minimum and Maximum Levels in Stock/Location screen 2. Ring Global Solutions so they can put the necessary defaults in place 3. Ensure there are supplier / stock records in the system 4. Ensure there is a Default Grade 1 supplier set up 5. Ensure the supplier stock records have a grade set against them 6. In the Automatic Ordering Menu….. 7. Run program POP1975. This creates purchase orders – one for each supplier in the supplier/stock cross reference table. If the stock code hasn’t been bought before on the system, no supplier/stock cross-reference will exist (unless you create it manually in screen stk1297). 8. If no supplier / stock cross-reference exists, the purchase order will be created on the supplier code defined as your default supplier (Usually ‘BLANK’). 9. Run report POP1955 to tell you the orders that have been created. 10. Change PO suppliers or delete POs as necessary. 11. Authorise the required POs by amending them and hitting F8 12. Print the POs. |
