Plant Analysis

This Module has no direct input but is fed information by all relevant applications in the rest of the system.

Information from this module is accessed via many standard enquiries and reports and may also be utilised within the report writer or downloaded to other third party tools

THERE ARE SIX MAIN AREAS OF PLANT ANALYSIS:-

  1. Movement History - a complete history of all plantmovements is maintained including on-hires, off-hires, inter-depot transfers, status changes, manual invoice/credit notes, disposals, itemised additions, non-itemised additions
  2. Profitability and performance - transaction information is held for all income and cost postings by plant item,. In addition, summarised information is stored by plant item, by location, by period, by analysis code and by group, subgroup by location, by period, by analysis code.
  3. Income is further analysed by storing actual income, achievable income and potential income. Achievable income is based on the same hire period, but it uses the list rate for the calculation. Potential income is based on the maximum number of days each item has spent at a depot, multiplied by the value attached to the rate code held in the subgroup table.
  4. Time utilisation and usage - for each plant & location & status code combination, the system records the time spent and the number of changes to that combination, by period
  5. Full Contract & Invoice detail - full contract and invoice detail is stored for a user definable period of time
  6. Repair/service history - the workshop system keeps a complete record of all workshop activity for a plant item

LCH sale to Speedy Hire

LCH who started with GENESYS 15 years ago with a four user system and have expanded to over 80 users during that time was acquired by Speedy Hire for £59,000,000
Throughout the whole time LCH were able to use GENESYS. Very few software products would be practical to install at 4 users and expand without changing the basic system.  Another real life success story and we wish John and James all the best and look forward to a successful relationship with Speedy Hire
